It's the year of Water Dragon they said, and I was born on the year of the dragon. I don't celebrate Chinese new year at home but I used to when I was back in university. My lecturer boiled this herbal gravy together with chicken eggs (without breaking the eggs) and wow it taste good, though the smell was quite unbearable for me (it was my first time).

Other things that I found very interresting and always be remembered was the 'yee sang' and 'yam seng'. If you don't have a clue both terms related to food and drink respectively.
'Yee sang' is when we 'toss' all different kind and color of raw salad up high with our chopsticks. I'm not sure if toss is the right word lol but 'yee sang' means 'Prosperty Toss'...so there you go. How does ti taste? Sour. I asked my friends about this because I thought they want to put a joke on me (my tongue hate sour lol). Some said there is raw salted fish salad and maybe pickled vegetable. But that's not important, what important is you have to toss and mix all salad together with everyone as high as you can so that you have all the luck and prosper through out the whole year.

'yam seng' on the other hand is when everybody gather with a cup of drink in hand (in my case, I have orange juice) and make a circle and cheers 'yaaaaaaaaaaaam seeeeng'' aloud and as long as you can. I tried to make more than 30 seconds but I was kinda short of breath.
Anyhow, it's not the luck or the prosper that we really want (but hey, of course I want good luck and $$$) but to be together enjoying the moment matter most to me.

And oh ya, I'm a muslim living in Malaysia surrounded with friends of different race and religion. And I love them. Have a happy chinese new year.HOng bao na laiiii~

One thing I love about my new job is, it connect me with real people. People who work because they desperately needs to LIVE. They don't work for having the money to spend shopping leisurely, they don't work for going on holiday but only because they want to keep on living and breath. I've met people, a lot of people who proved me how this country failed to function properly.

I looked at those people who came to me with hope in their eyes hoping tomorrow will be better than today. And I've met people who came to me with heavy frustration, hopeless that tomorrow, sun will never shine again. Fade as the black clouds hide their sun. And I looked again at those people, and said to myself, "These are my countrymen...these are my people and there's not much I can do for them."

Thank you God for showing me the real people.

Akan bertugas

Fuh! Akhirny, 10haribulan ni akan mula bertugas dekat pejabat penghulu untuk 4hari (mungkin). Lepas tu akan bermula lah kerja mengadap skrin komputer lebih 8jam sehari. Haaa ambil kau! dulu merungut sangat tak ada kerja. Tapi aku terima dengan terbuka sebab at least aku tak jadi minah saja yang makan gaji buta.

Semalam ada taklimat tentang projek bantuan rakyat ni tapi last2 minitu boleh pula pihak SUK batalkan kawasan pejabat bertugas pegawai2 penaksiran. Seperti yang diduga tangan kotor politik mesti masuk campur punya.Haihhh di mana keikhlasan wakil-wakil rakyat ni? Niat dah baik, insyaAllah dah dapat pahala tapi perlukah dikotorkan sampai macam ni?

Takabur.

Takabur ni rupa-rupanya datang dalam bentuk yang sangat halus ditiup-tiup syaitan dalam jiwa manusia. Sangat halus sampaikan bila kita ingat kita buat benda baik rupanya niat atau perasaan takabur tu dah berakar umbi dalam jiwa. Susah nak diterangkan sebab aku pun bukan pakar.

Tapi sekadar contoh, ada rakan FB kita yang tulis status seperti

"Azan maghrib dah dekat, kepada yang tak puasa (sempena 9/10 Muharram) lekas-lekaslah wudhu' untuk solat. Kepada yang puasa jom kita makan dulu."

Bagi sesetengah orang mungkin akan anggap benda ni biasa. Tapi bagi sesetengah orang lain pula mungkin akan cakap yang menulis status ni seolah-olah nak bagitahu satu dunia dia berpuasa. Aku sendiri kadang-kadang rasa macam ni biasalah manusia. Ada orang lain pula cakap perkara macam ni takabur ibadah, membangga-banggakan ibadah yang dia buat dan orang lain tak buat.

Bila difikir-fikir betul juga, kita manusia biasa yang serba-serbi khilaf ni, rasa bangga bila dapat buat sesuatu yang orang lain tak dapat/ mampu buat. Jadi, tak mustahillah kita mungkin akan rasa bangga terhadap ibadah kita. Seolah-olah mahu orang lain cakap, "wah... bagus dia ni selalu puasa sunat/ solat tahajud/ solat sunat lain-lain." Tapi ini semua cuma teori aku sendiri ye harap maklum tentang apa yang aku tulis. Ini cuma pendapat yang boleh dikritis dan dikritik.

Persepsi sayaa terhadap LHDN khusus untuk cawangan Teluk Intan kini berubah. Rupa-rupanya LHDN Teluk Intan ni jabatan kerajaan yang paling berdisiplin berbanding jabatan kerajaan lain di sini. Strict sungguh, memang tak ada yang boleh senang-senang makan gaji buta.

Makanya, hari pertama kerja di Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri apa kerja yang aku buat? Duduk saja dan jadilah aku minah saja bersama 52 lagiminah dan mamat saja yang lain. Seriously, memang terlalu bosan sebab taklmat skop kerja cuma pengarah je yang tahu. Dia pulak pergi dengar taklimat hari ni. Nampak tak betapa membuang masa dan wang rakyat untuk bayar kami-kami ni? 8 jam duduk melangut untuk tunggu pukul 5 lepas tu cabut. Gaji jalan.

Ini kali pertama aku merasa pengalaman "gaji buta". Memang tak produktif., tapi apa boleh buat. Kepala kerajaan yang nak macam ni, ambik kau.

Done. I've said it, handed it (the resignation letter). Of course their reaction was clearly well...as I've expected. Kak Paiz has been a real supporter and all this actually happens because she's the one who initiated the 'spark'. And that Ryan Goh'blok' of course...more than agree fairly because he will join my decision in just a few weeks from now.

And there, kak Rowina will be on her own. My teacher, my friend, my sister for 11 hours a day.

O'm gonna miss the sound of those machine. By the way , I broke another needle and successfully bend another needle's holder for the second time. Oh yeah. Way to go Bell, a very kind way to bid farewell. =.='

Irony. I bought an envelop to hold my resignation letter from the shop I'm working with and handed it back to the owner.

Alhamdulillah... All praise to Almighty God.
I make the cut for the part time job (which only for four months). And once again I thank God because this job needs me to travel a lot. So there you go I don't have fix office hour schedule.

Now, the problem is how to tell my current employer? With only a week time for me to prepare everything...And to honest I kinda feel belong to that placealready.

But Bell, life must go on.Chances don't wait. I've been through many rejection and now it is my time!

Eh dah lamaa tak update blog rupanya...patutlah macam kehilangan sesuatu :D
Hari ni hari Sabtu kan, akukerja.. ni baru je balik.
Penat sangat tapi bila aku fikir balik bila lagi aku nak rasa susah macam ni? Lepas ni kalau dah dapat kerja yang duduk mengadap komputer guna otak lagi lah parah.
Jadi, lalui sajalah hari-hari dengan redho dan ikhlas.
Oh ye, semalam aku beli buku novel. Terbitan PTS, judulnya Ma Yan, ditulis oleh Sanie B. Kuncoro.
Murah je RM16 tapi ceritanya menusuk tepat dalam diri sendiri.
Seolah-olah cerita tu tengah menyindir aku yang selalu sangat mengeluh bila kena buat kerja yang macam kerja kuli ni.
Manusia...macam inilah.
Perlu selalu ada yang menegur baru tersedar.
Buku novel ni jugak mengingatkan aku pada filem Iran judulnya 'Baran'.
Baran tu maksudnya hujan dlam bahasa Parsi.
Selalunya bila badan aku dah mula rasa sakit sebab buat kerja berat, aku cuba ingat balik scene bila Baran(watak utama filem ni) kena buat kerja lagi teruk daripada aku semata-mata untuk beli makanan.
Tapi aku?
Aku bukannya kena kerja untuk mencari sesuap nasi pun.
Kerja ni saja2 je sebab bosan duduk rumah tak buat apa.
Dah la buat kerja dalam bilik yang ada pendingin hawa.

Kawan aku si Pineh bukan nama sebenar InsyaAllah akan diijabakabul 23 Disember tahun ni.
Aku rasa...gembira untuk dia dan..berat...dan ermmm..pilu...dan..sedih...dan haihh

A gift from God

This year Eid was a little bit cinfusing since the baby moon haven't been sighted yet any some part of the world. Anyway,sooner or later people will celebrate Eid =. I personally feels sad as the holy month of Ramadhan has come to an end. How is everybody's Ramadhan? Was it good? Mine was awesome! It's proven that Allah will lightthe burden of people who fast.

As for Syawal, I don't have new cloth since my mum have to finish sewing her customer's first. Why not buying the ready made? Sigh...if you readers are my personal friends I'm sure you'll understand my annoyance with shopping especially in huge crowd. I'll get dizzy at once. No joke.

In the end, I end up wearing last year cloth :)

To all readers (eventhough I always doubt about putting an 's' here) have a blessed Syawal and happy Eid!

Satisfaction

I think it really does not matter what job you are doing, no matter how tiring, how hard, how tedious butby the time you smile with satisfaction over what you have done or learnt, you know it was all worth it.

I am very much satisfied today with what I've learnt and over my job. Many good things happen in less than 11 hours today. And I know I have to thank Allah for today. Oh ya today's is my 17th day of working lol :D

It was actually belated birthday because I officially started this blog on the 9th of Ramadhan last year. So far, I'm happy though not actually satisfied with the numbers of entries posted. But at least some of the entries does brings good message and help readers in many ways. Thank you for reading!

By the way, I'm working for almost like 3 weeks now at a book shop. But my job is to handle the embroidery machines. The task looks easy but very dangerous. I call it the fingers eater because a few years ago a finger does got stuck between the needles, as my boss said.

I solely hopes my salary for doing this odd job can pay for my concocation fees.

Anyway, life's good so far. I'll try to keep posting updates. Thanks again for reading :)

Pengemis Buta & Rasulullah S.A.W

SEMOGA BERMANFAAT

Di sudut pasar Madinah ada seorang pengemis Yahudi buta yang setiap
harinya
selalu berkata kepada setiap orang yang mendekatinya,
Wahai saudaraku, jangan dekati Muhammad, dia itu orang gila, dia itu
pembohong,
dia itu tukang sihir, apabila kalian mendekatinya maka kalian akan
dipengaruhinya.

Namun, setiap pagi Muhammad Rasulullah SAW mendatanginya dengan membawakan
makanan,
dan tanpa berucap sepatah kata pun Rasulullah SAW menyuapkan makanan yang
dibawanya
kepada pengemis itu sedangkan pengemis itu tidak mengetahui bahwa yang
menyuapinya
itu adalah Rasulullah SAW. Rasulullah SAW melakukan hal ini setiap hari
sampai beliau wafat.

Setelah wafatnya Rasulullah SAW, tidak ada lagi orang yang membawakan
makanan setiap
pagi kepada pengemis Yahudi buta itu. Suatu hari sahabat terdekat
Rasulullah SAW yakni
Abubakar RA berkunjung ke rumah anaknya Aisyah RA yang tidak lain tidak
bukan merupakan
isteri Rasulullah SAW dan beliau bertanya kepada anaknya itu,Anakku,
adakah kebiasaan
kekasihku yang belum aku kerjakan?

Aisyah RA menjawab,Wahai ayah, engkau adalah seorang ahli sunnah dan
hampir tidak ada
satu kebiasaannya pun yang belum ayah lakukan kecuali satu saja.
Apakah Itu?, tanya Abubakar RA.
Setiap pagi Rasulullah SAW selalu pergi ke ujung pasar dengan
membawakan
makanan untuk
seorang pengemis Yahudi buta yang ada disana, kata Aisyah RA.

Keesokan harinya Abubakar RA pergi ke pasar dengan membawa makanan untuk
diberikan kepada
pengemis itu. Abubakar RA mendatangi pengemis itu lalu memberikan makanan
itu kepadanya.
Ketika Abubakar RA mulai menyuapinya, sipengemis marah sambil menghardik,
Siapakah kamu?
Abubakar RA menjawab,Aku orang yang biasa (mendatangi engkau).
Bukan! Engkau bukan orang yang biasa mendatangiku, bantah si
pengemis
buta itu.

Apabila ia datang kepadaku tidak susah tangan ini memegang dan tidak
susah mulut ini mengunyah.
Orang yang biasa mendatangiku itu selalu menyuapiku,
tapi terlebih dahulu dihaluskannya makanan tersebut,
setelah itu ia berikan padaku, pengemis itu melanjutkan perkataannya.

Abubakar RA tidak dapat menahan air matanya, ia menangis sambil berkata
kepada pengemis itu,
Aku memang bukan orang yang biasa datang padamu. Aku adalah salah
seorang
dari sahabatnya,
orang yang mulia itu telah tiada. Ia adalah Muhammad Rasulullah SAW.

Seketika itu juga pengemis itu pun menangis mendengar penjelasan Abubakar
RA, dan kemudian berkata,
Benarkah demikian? Selama ini aku selalu menghinanya, memfitnahnya,
ia tidak pernah memarahiku sedikitpun,
ia mendatangiku dengan membawa makanan setiap pagi, ia begitu mulia....

Pengemis Yahudi buta tersebut akhirnya bersyahadat di hadapan Abubakar RA
saat itu juga
dan sejak hari itu menjadi muslim.

Nah, wahai saudaraku, bisakah kita meneladani kemuliaan akhlaq Rasulullah
SAW?
Atau adakah setidaknya niatan untuk meneladani beliau?
Beliau adalah ahsanul akhlaq, semulia-mulia akhlaq.

Kalaupun tidak bisa kita meneladani beliau seratus persen, alangkah
baiknya kita berusaha
meneladani sedikit demi sedikit, kita mulai dari apa yang kita sanggup
melakukannya.

Sebarkanlah riwayat ini ke sebanyak orang apabila kamu mencintai
Rasulullahmu...

Sadaqah Jariah salah satu dari nya mudah dilakukan, pahalanya?
MasyaAllah....macam meter taxi...jalan terus.

Sadaqah Jariah - Kebajikan yang tak berakhir.

1. Berikan al-Quran pada seseorang, dan setiap dibaca, Anda mendapatkan
hasanah.

2. Sumbangkan kursi roda ke RS dan setiap orang sakit menggunakannya, Anda
dapat hasanah.

4. Bantu pendidikan seorang anak.

5. Ajarkan seseorang sebuah do'a. Pada setiap bacaan do'a itu, Anda dapat
hasanah.

6. Bagi CD Quran atau Do'a.

7. Terlibat dalam pembangunan sebuah mesjid.

8. Tempatkan pendingin air di tempat umum.

9. Tanam sebuah pohon. Setiap seseorang atau binatang berlindung
dibawahnya, Anda dapat hasanah.

10. Bagikan email ini dengan orang lain. Jika seseorang menjalankan salah
satu dari hal diatas,

Aku yakin semua kawanku sibuk mengejar impian masing-masing, sibuk dengan perantauan masing-masing.

Tetapi, adakah persahabatan memang akan kendur kerana jarak? Aku yakin inti persahabatam memang tidak akan rosak. Tetapi jarak dan tempat tidak berdusta, berpisah secara fizikal memang mampu meregangkan keintiman persahabatan kerana tidak lagi disiram pertemuan, gurau senda dan diskusi.

Bagi aku kami kini bagaikan pendekar kuil Shaolin yang baru turun dari gunung dan tersebar ke pelbagai penjuru mata angin bagi mengejar impian dan menjalankan misi hidup masing-masing. Entah bila kami akan bertemu lagi.

Baru balik dari merayap..again. Blog terabai, FB kena tinggal, emel tak balas, mesej di telefon pun tak dapat nak terima. Tak sangka hostel Restu USM tu tak dapat line satu bar pun. Buat kali pertamanya, aku rasa bersalah amat. Aku rasa sangat berdosa. Ini kali pertama aku merasa berdosa ketika membaca. Ini kali pertama aku merasa sangat berdosa ketika membaca e-book. Buku eletronik yang percuma, hanya perlu menunggu dalam kadar 10 minit kurang atau lebih untuk siap dimuat turun. Membaca cerita yang baru dimuat turun tadi buat aku merasa berdosa kerana telah melakukan rompakan atas karyanya. Karya master piece yang harganya di pasaran buku Malaysia bukan setanding RM28 tapi sebenarnya tiada sepeser mahupun setrillion ringgit yang setanding dengan karya ini. Pengamatan bertahun-tahun si penulis sejak dari kecilnya membawa ke dewasa ini mungkin salah satu faktor kenapa aku merasa seperti si penjenayah Josh Soros yang menggelapkan nilai matawang dunia, malah mungkin seperti Adolf Hitler yang membunuh tidak kurang 6 juta umat Yahudi itu. Ahh maafkan aku. Esok aku bersumpah, akan cari bukunya yang asli di pekan.

Misconception

Almost half way through reading the newly arrived novel Not Without My Daughter. And from this point I can clearly see one of the many why the non Moslem especially the American hate Islam and Moslem so much. For me, they confused between the religion and the people of the religion whom came from various background and customs and tradition. I am truly sorry and at the same time feels hurt to when there are people who have been abused brutally by the moslem who think they have the authority to do so in the name of Islam. Trust me, I am a moslem and I detest their wrong behavior.. Islam never teach the devoteed to do wrongful things. As the matter of fact, the prophet Muhammad will be very angry and I'm sure will never approve such ugly behavior like what the husband of Betty Mahmoody did to her.

Things like that happens because their tradition (at the time) were too conservative and worst, too fanatic. I blame it on the people, the doer to be exact. Because I believe there still some kind people who actually use their brain to sort out what is right and what is wrong according to the Koran not CUSTOM and TRADITION.

The story of struggling mother who will do anything to always be with her child in a inter-culture marriage is actually still happening. And I only hope and wish for inter-culture or inter-race marriage couples to stay together and bridge the understanding between each other's culture. For the sake of the child, for the sake of love.

Sung Bong Choi from Korea's Got Talent sing Nella Fantasia

Sung-bong Choi, a 22-year-old manual worker, knocked the judges' socks off with his amazing voice on "Korea's Got Talent." But before that, his story made them (and us) cry - a lot.

"I just want to be like a normal person," Choi said. He doesn't think he sings very well, but when he does, he feels like a different person. You see, Choi was left in an orphanage when he was 3 years old and ran away when he was 5 after being beaten. He sold gum and energy drinks on the streets of Korea to survive. "I slept on the stairs or public toilet for 10 years like a dayfly."

Now Choi hopes to be able to go to school and continue singing.

After telling his sad yet remarkable story, he belted out some powerful vocals, and wowed everyone.

"I just want to give you a hug," says one of the judges with tears in her eyes.

He obviously made it through to the next round, and is being regarded as the next Susan Boyle.

He is singing Nella Fantasia originally sang by Sarah Brightman music by Ennio Morricone. I'm sure many people know the song, it's beautiful isn't it?

Back from hiatus

Finally! I've finished reading a 722 pages novel writter by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, an Indonesian author. The novel's title is Bumi Cinta. Phew! that explain the hiatus :) It's a very good novel, written with delicious words for one hungry soul. The words like literally talks. I don't think I have to explain what's the novel all about since it is reviewed widely on internet. Go search for it hungry people!Up next, Not Without My Daughter written by Betty Mahmoody. But have to wait for the post guy since I bought online from somebody. Hurry Mr Post guy!

I actually have a hard time typing this entry. My fingers hurt from setting up my book shelve yesterday. But it worth it. Managed to get everything done in one hour without anybody to assist. Who said girls can't do carpentry on their own? :D

Anyhow, school holiday for Malaysian schoolers is almost over with only a day left. Tomorrow everything will be back to busy and endless periods of learning new thing in school. The weather also has become cooler, we have more rain nowadays, thanks to Almighty God.

Mother in the Dream 12 years old Monglian boy sing

A 12-year-old Mongolian boy- Uudam (乌达木 Wudamu in Chinese) who lost his parents at the age of 8 in a road accident singing the song-"Mother in the Dream" (梦中的额吉) to his mother at heaven. He seldom talk about his story but when he miss his mother, he will sing this song. Besides, he always dream about his mother, sitting beside him.

The song is in Mongolian, therefore, not everyone can understand the lyrics. However, his singing touched every judges and audiences in the hall without the understanding of the lyrics. He sang out all his love and though to his mother.

A touching song, performed by a boy who got a sad story behind, a voice comes from far Mongolia sending his though to his mother at heaven. A great performance by a 12-year-old boy! He got an interesting and beautiful dream which is to invent a kind of ink that just need a drop to drop on the ground, the whole world will cover with green grass. one more thing to add, his mother wished to see his singing on the stage when she was alive.

This Mongolian boy really...touched me. Deep down.

I have approximately 2 hours before I leave home. For work. Yes, I got a job, albeit only for 3 months. But that's better than just sit at home doing nothing. Actually it's a little chaotic at the moment since I got his job offer only yesterday, that's not even 24 hours yet.

My lecturer called if I'm interested being a translator at Civil Defense Department (Jabatan Pertahanan Awam) in Baling, Kedah. How can I say no, right? That place is ...well, a lil bit under-develop but hey lets just try make the best of it.

So today I will go to Taiping first to a friend's house because she's got the job too (thanks to Dr A), and from there we'll go to Baling this Saturday for interview-chit-chating session, and start working on Monday. Phew~ wish me all the best. Not sure if I can get in touch with you bloggers, have to wait and see.

p/s what on earth am I'm going to translate with that JPA?

Graduation status: Pass. But of course graduation is one, a fun thing. Two have I not consider the not-fun-thing. Can you guess? Well, debt.

Thank you much for ruining our fun sigh. But of course, I'm being very sensible at the moment. Without the loan, there's no way I can live peacefully during the studies. Anyway, I don't wanna be the cow tied to debt master. So let just work for money (of course to pay the debt) and pleasure and experience.

Alhamdulillah, I am safe and sound finally at home.
Haven't finish unpackhing yet.
Major reason is because I believe I won't be long at home.
So, back to title, what;s new?
:First, I have 3 cute kittens.
Second, the big frig. has gone. Yep gone, to the dump site.
Thanks to my worth-for-nothing brother.
It's a long story but the frig. is gone in the end.
Third, my other brother get into my ex-high school .
And, got into the same class, taught by the same teacher who have been teaching me before.
Fourth, I am now at home jobless.
Who soever know any vacant job please let me know.
I prefer working outdoors rather than office works, but, hey I don't mind at all doing any of them.
Cause I need to get out of the house so bad.
What else new?
We'll see in about a week from now.

Penang Hill

Went to Penang Hill last week since they've re-open the new train trip early this month.

The new coach is comfy, air-conditioned and of course much more speedy than the old one.

Penang Hill is about more or less 2000 feet above the sea level (I think).

So, they offer us Penang's best viewing site.

I've once again become Allah's number one fan of His beautiful and amazing creation.

The plant was great, the air was much more soothing than the air-con.

Talking about plant and stuff,

I have no idea what was their name,

Screw me I know.

Albeit, they're very pretty as any highland flower can be.

Ni nota yang sempat dicatatkan dari kelas Ustazah Dr Fatma El-Zahra. Beliau bercakap mengenai sihir. Sambungan dari kelas beliau sebelum ini.

Dr. Fatma amanahkan anak murid dia untuk sampaikan kepada kaum keluarga dan sahabat handai. So, I want to share this knowledge to you all, since kita pun terdedah dengan perbuatan sihir ni setiap hari.

Sihir ni perbuatan jin dan syaitan, dan daripada manusia yang mahu merosakkan orang lain sbb dengki, sakit hati, cemburu etc. Manusia ni pegi kat tukang sihir or what we know as bomoh or pawang. Tukang sihir ni guna khidmat jin dan syaitan provided that tukang sihir ni buat sesuatu balik untuk jin/syaitan ni. Contohnya, jin/syaitan ni suruh tukang sihir ni kencing pada Al_Quran, baru dia mahu berkhidmat dengan tukang sihir ni.

Bagaimana kita nak tahu orang yang kita ‘minta tolong’ tu adalah tukang sihir?

Bomoh ni akan minta barang seperti gambar, songkok, kain pelikat/kain batik, asam limau, telur dan juga tarikh lahir.
Bomoh ni akan minta binatang ‘pelik’ like ayam hitam ke, kambing putih kedan lain-lain
Mereka baca Quran dengan cara yang pelik, terlalu laju dan tidak jelas sebutannya.. Sebenarnya mereka mencampuradukkan/ menterbalikkan ayat-ayat Al-Quran dan masukkan nama jin/syaitan di antara ayat-ayat yang dibaca tu.
Penampilan diri yang kotor, kuku kotor, pakaian bau busuk. Tidak mencerminkan perwatakan orang yang mengamalkan Islam. Akibat orang cari tukang sihir - telah kufur kepada Rasulullah. Sebab cara ini menunjukkan anda percaya mereka ni dan perbuatan ini HARAM! Malah Rasulullah telah berkata cuma Allah saja yang tahu tentang ilmu ghaib,

Bagaimana kita tahu kena sihir?

Susah tidur waktu malam
Suka ketawa sendiri
Tak suka mandi
Suka makan banyak. Actually makan for two - sendiri + jin!!
Suka duduk dalam bilik air lama-lama.
Fasih bercakap dalam bahasa asing secara tiba-tiba!

Bagaimana Hendak Mencegah Sihir?

1. Bacalah 3x selepas solat subuh dan 3x selepas maghrib -lafaz dengan kuat, bukan dalam hati.

“Maasyaa Allahukaana wamaalam yasyaklam yakun Walaa haulawala quwata illabillahi ‘aliiyil ‘azhiim”

Maksudnya: Apa yang Tuhan kehendaki akan berlaku. Apa yang Tuhan tidak restui tidak akan berlaku. Tidak ada upaya mel ain kan kehendak Allah.

Bacalah secara lafaz, jangan baca di hati
Agar jin/syaitan lari dari rumah kita. Imagine rumah yang tiada syaitan dan jin, tiada perasaan marah, takdelah asyik nak gaduh sesama ahli keluarga betul tak?
Sometimes when you have a bad fall, or when your kids suddenly fall, don’t just laugh it off. Cepat -cepat baca 3 Qul dan ayat di atas dan gosok badan. Jin tak akan masuk dalam badan.

2. Turut perintah Allah.

Antaranya: Mandi hadas besar as soon as haid kering. Do not wait after 1 day baru nak mandi hadas. Sometimes kita suka melengahkan mandi hadas ni. Same goes to junub. Kita dikelilingi syaitan! Jangan masak/sediakan sarapan pagi dalam keadaan junub! Bahaya!

3. Lebihkan zikir.

Ayatul Kursi - mengiringi tiap waktu solat fardhu
Surah Al Baqarah - baca di rumah 1 hari, 3 hari syaitan tak masuk rumah. Baca sebagai wirid harian ayat 285 yang bermula dari “Aamanarasul. …”
Doa Rasulullah untuk tiap perbuatan seperti doa masuk tandas, keluar tandas, menghadap cermin, doa makan ect.

Note! : “Arasy” atau tempat syaitan rehat is the lubang najis. Jangan duduk lama di situ. Dah habis ‘bisnes’ keluar la.. ubah tabiat suka baca suratkhabar or majalah dalam jamban! Also, do not sing in tandas! Jin can also attack thru mirror. Oleh itu protect yourself by reciting the doa menghadap cermin.

4. Jangan bagi anak-anak keluar waktu maghrib. Jin dan syaitan byk di taman-taman, halaman rumah, padang . So, always know where your kids are bila masuk waktu maghrib. Kita suka buang sampah waktu maghrib. Time to change!

5. Seelok-eloknya ada tamar di rumah, especially tamar dari Mekah or Madinah. Jin dan syaitan tak suka tamar dari Mekah dan Madinah.

Makan 7 biji tamar Ajwa atau tamar dari Madinah tiap pagi.

6. Tiap malam sebelum tidur dan tiap pagi baca 3 Qul, tiup ke tangan dan sapu seluruh tubuh. Boleh baca dan niatkan sebagai zikir bila datang haid.

7. Sebaik-baiknya usaha untuk mencari tempat sihir dan buangnya. Ayat khas untuk mencari tempat sihir - surah Al-Kauthar.

8. Muhasabah diri, bertaubat dan banyak beristighfar. Gangguan might be from your own doings.

Mencegah dan Berubat Orang kena Sihir

1. Letakkan tangan di tempat yang sakit di tubuh dan baca:

Bismillaahi (3x)
A ‘uudzu bi ‘iizzatillaahi waqudrotihi min syarrimaa ajidu wa uhaadziru

Ertinya: Dengan menyebut nama Allah. Saya berlindung dengan kekuasaan Allah dan ketentuanNya dari kejahatan sakit yang saya rasakan dan saya khuatirkan.

2. Bacalah ayat di atas 7 kali.

3. Kemudian baca doa: ”Allahumma robbannaasi adzhibil baksa. Isyfi antasysyaafii laasyaifaa-aillaa syifaa uka. Syifaa-an laa yughaadiru saqomaa”

Ertinya: Ya Allah, Tuhan manusia, lenyapkankanlah penyakit ini. Sembuhkanlah, Engkau jualah Tuhan yang menyembuhkan penyakit yang tiada kesembuhan melain kan kesembuhanMu. Dengan kesembuhan yang tiada ditambah penyakit lagi.

Merawat Orang yang Kena Sihir

1. Ambil 7 helai daun bidara (daun ini diguna buat mandi mayat- jin takut daun bidara!), dan ditumbuk atau digiling is most prefered. It is a symbolic action to hancurkan perbuatan jin. Sambil giling daun-daun bidara ini, baca:

Ayatul Kursi
Al-Kafirun ( Qulya ayyuhal kafiruun..)
Qul ~ Ahad
Qul ~ Falaq
Qul ~ Naas
Surah Yunus ayat 81
Surah A’Raf ayat 120-121
Surah Thaahaa ayat 69 mulai “Wala yuflinu…”

2. Campurkan daun yang telah digiling tadi dalam baldi yang dipenuhi air yang boleh diminum.

3. Ambil 3 sudu air tadi untuk beri pesakit minum.

4. Selebihnya dibuat mandi. Do it masa masuk waktu maghrib.

5. Ulangi selama 41 hari. Buat 41 hari berturut-turut lagi bagus. Tapi kalau nak selang sehari dua baru ulang pun boleh gak tapi jangan sampai seminggu gap…tak menjadilah! Kalau tak sembuh juga, ulangi 41 hari lagi (could be a strong sihir).

Another method is the ‘dry way’. That is, tak payah mandi, but baca terus pada pesakit sambil sapu kepala dia.

When You Leave The Earth

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

When You Leave The Earth is going to be short film about two sisters who retreat to a house in the woods to mourn the death of their mother. It will be a quiet, beautiful, sad film, and an honest, emotional depiction of the thoughts and fears we have concerning the mortality of the women in our own lives. We want to capture the loss these characters feel. To show the grief, emotions, questions, quiet moments, and ultimately see them finding strength in the fact that life is all around, in nature, other people, and in oneself.

Actual sisters will portray the sisters in the film and the entire crew will be female. The goal of the production is to create a finished film that reflects the intimate emotional experiences of everyone involved.

The cast and crew will spend a week in a cabin, gathering scenes, many that are planned, and some that will have to be discovered.

The money raised will go to renting the cabin, food for the crew, art & costumes, and post production needs, such as Post Sound, DVD pressing.

Blog review session - Kebun Malay-Kadazan girls

I still remember how I landed on her blog last year I think.

I googled 'kebun australia' under blog's section.

I clicked on her blog and...

...voila my eyes became wide open.

There's too many greens and I (my eyes) fall in love with the blog at the very moment.

The reason why I googled such keywords is because

I was having quite a hard time.

Dealing with assignments and fussy peoples grew me tired.

So, i decided to look for something 'green'

Another reason is because

I terribly miss home.

I live in a small quiet village,

and my mom loves gardening so much that I can't remember how many times snakes choose our cozy yard to change their skin.

Man...that always gives me a shiver.

Anyhow my heart grew fonder of her blog day by day (hey these sound cheesy isn't it?)

Perempuan selalu diuji Allah.

Masa zaman jahiliah dulu orang anggap perempuan cuma 'alat'

Perempuan ditindas, hina, murah,

Bila Islam datang nilai perempuan melambung naik.

Tapi bila dah lama-lama,

Datang pulak rungutan lain.

Kan dah kata tadi,

Antaranya,

Aurat,

Kena pakai tudung,

SPITZER: Debates over integrating devout Muslims into society are not unique to the United States. Effective today it is illegal to wear a burqa in France or a niqab like this. A Muslim veil that reveals only the eyes.

The new law drew protest and confusion on the streets of Paris. Two women stepping out in their niqabs and drawing the crowd were arrested for staging an unauthorized protest.

The French government has called the veils, and I quote, “a new form of enslavement,” and, quote, “not acceptable on its soil.”

Many Muslims are enraged but not all. I am joined by Hebah Ahmed, a writer for the blog, Muslim Matters, who’s against the ban. She’s in Albuquerque. And Mona Eltahawy, a columnist on Arab and Muslim issues who wants to see the ban extended everywhere. She’s joining me from Washington.

Welcome to you both.

HEBAH AHMED, BLOGGER, MUSLIMMATTERS.ORG: Thank you.

SPITZER: Let me begin by — if I might, by quoting the President Sarkozy of France in his justification for the law. It’s kind of a remarkable statement. He says, and I quote — this is the president of France. “The burqa is not a religious symbol. It’s a sign of enslavement of debaseness. I want to say this solemnly. The burqa will not be welcomed on the territory of the French republic. We cannot accept in our country women imprisoned behind a mask, deprived of all social life of their identity.”

So, Mona, let me start with you. You want to extend this ban across the world. Do you agree with President Sarkozy that merely because somebody wants to dress like this, they choose to dress like this, they shouldn’t be permitted to do so?

MONA ELTAHAWY, COLUMNIST ON MUSLIM ISSUES: You know, Eliot, I detest Nicolas Sarkozy. I consider him right wing and racist but I also detest the niqab and I detest the face veil. And I say this as a Muslim woman.

I think that it represents an ideology that does not believe in Muslim women’s rights to do anything but choose to cover her face. And I find that — I believe that the niqab dangerously equates piety with the disappearance of women and so I support banning it everywhere because I don’t — it’s not in the Koran, it’s not an obligation for a Muslim woman to cover her face, and my talk with you now with you seeing my face is going to be very different than if I were sitting here with my face covered.

I believe that the human face is central to communication.

SPITZER: OK, Mona, the only thing I would observe and I want to give Hebah a chance to jump in of course but I heard you used single personal pronoun I many times. I have no doubt you believe that, but why should your belief ban other people from wearing what they want to wear. That’s what I don’t get.

Hebah, explain to me why you think the ban is a bad idea.

AHMED: I think that it’s a bad idea because I think it’s yet another example of men telling women how to dress, how to live their life. It’s another way to try to control women. And to take it to a government level and to try to legislate the way that a woman dresses is not just wrong and against human rights, but it really violates the whole basis that the democracy in democratic countries are based.

This is a free choice. This is something that I choose to wear. I disagree that it’s some right-wing ideology. It is something that is permitted in Islam. I have a masters degree in mechanical engineering and I’m free to do whatever I want, and this is choice that want to make. And just because somebody doesn’t accept my interpretation of Islam or personally like it doesn’t mean that we can use laws to violate people’s freedom of expression and freedom of religion.

SPITZER: Hebah, let me just ask you this. When you go to the airport, you understand they’re going to be obligations, they’re going to have to check you for security like they check all the rest. When you get a driver’s license, they take a picture with or without your veil on? AHMED: Absolutely. I want everyone to know that as a Muslim woman, as a Muslim in America, I am just as concerned about safety and security as everybody else. And I have no problem whatsoever accommodating any security issues that come about. When I enter a bank, when I go to the airport, when I go to the DMV, I show my face and actually in Islam we are required to show our identity when we’re in a court system giving testimony. This is absolutely something that is essential for the security and identification of people, but it doesn’t mean that I should be banned completely from what I choose to do.

SPITZER: OK, Mona, let me jump in here. There are lots of type of dress that I look at and I don’t like them. I think they’re degrading. I think they’re oppressive. You know, a lots of things that I see teenagers wearing that, you know, I’m now viewed as old- fashioned by my kids perhaps. I don’t go around saying we should pass a law banning it. Isn’t that fundamentally violative (ph) of the First Amendment? What possible reason can there be legally to say to somebody you can’t dress the way you want to dress.

MONA ELTAHAWY, COLUMNIST ON MUSLIM ISSUES: Actually, Eliot, the government does tell people how they can and can’t dress all the time. You cannot walk outside naked. There are many states here in the U.S. where three or more people cannot be together in public wearing a face mask. So the government actually does legislate over our wardrobe, but everybody conveniently forgets that.

I would like to ask Hebah, you know, once I’m done talking, if she works. Because we’ve been on media shows together where we’ve been on opposite ends of this argument and I know from what she said before that once she started covering her face, she stopped working. So my argument is — and this is not just about “I.” I understand the point that you were making earlier, Eliot. Feminist groups, many women’s rights group have made the point that what the niqab goes in a society, especially for Muslim women is that it creates a spectrum where that is the pinnacle of piety and that is the good Muslim woman and so, of course, it has — it affects me.

In France, where this ban is going in effect, Muslim women’s rights group there support it because they find that Muslim women who live in the French housing projects have been put under tremendous pressure by the Muslim right wing to give into the niqab, and when they speak out they are told it’s basically become these political pawns.

SPITZER: But, Mona –

ELTAHAWY: That’s why I said I oppose Sarkozy but I oppose this on women because what choice do women have besides covering their face. This ideology doesn’t recognize Muslim women’s rights.

SPITZER: Mona, I just have to push you on one thing here. There are certain prohibitions on the way people dress, or you mentioned nudity that don’t dress that are in fact imposed upon us by law but none of them that I’m aware relates to a specific religion and says if you are a devout member of a religion you cannot dress in a way that you are obligated to to practice your religion, your choice of faith. Can you think of any example like that? Because I can think of a thousand other laws if this were upheld that suddenly we would limit all sorts of things that people do for their religious beliefs because we don’t agree with it. Wouldn’t that be a very dangerous thing to do?

ELTAHAWY: See, this is I think where these right-wing interpretations of religion get a free pass because everybody says well, it’s my religious obligation, it’s my religious right do this. Let’s look really at what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about the disappearance of women justified in the name of them becoming closer to God. So the closer you want to become to God, the more — the less of you, the more you disappear.

SPITZER: But, Mona –

AHMED: I don’t feel that I have disappeared at all.

SPITZER: One at a time.

AHMED: I totally disagree.

SPITZER: Guys, one at a time. Hebah, jump in. Tell us, does anybody forced you to do this? Is this something you’re doing with your own free will?

AHMED: Nobody has — nobody has forced me do this and I really have to disagree with the statistics that Mona is trying to put forth because studies have shown that there are only 2,000 women in France that wear the niqab. The majority of them are converts who converted to Islam and are voluntarily choosing to do it. This is my choice. Nobody can force me to take it off. I would not take it off even if you paid me to do it. And the fact of the matter is that there’s never — I have never met a single Muslim woman in all of my travels around the world that is being forced to wear it. She — I understand Mona does not like it and does not want to wear it personally. But she keeps talking about her own feelings about it and she wants to use the law to support it. If she wants diversity and Islamic belief, then she has to accept my version just like she wants me to accept hers.

SPITZER: Mona, let me ask you this question. Do you have any evidence to support your statement that women are forced to wear this? And let me ask you this. If women are being forced to do something they don’t want to do, there is recourse other than banning this entire motive dress that has chosen as we just heard from Hebah by people who do choose to wear it of their own free will.

ELTAHAWY: Well, you know, I lived in Saudi Arabia. I have a sense that she’s traveled the world and she’s never met a woman who has been forced to wear it. I lived in Saudi Arabia where millions of women are forced to cover their face. But now that the argument will be, well, that’s in Saudi Arabia not in France. What choice does a woman have when she’s told she will burn in hell if she doesn’t cover every inch of her body? What kind of a choice is that? So, of course, she’s going to convert to this ideology. AHMED: I’ve never heard that. I’ve never heard anybody say that.

ELTAHAWY: But the women who convert to this ideology who are then told that this is how to be a good Muslim woman, to be close to God, to avoid hellfire, is there really a choice in that? And I believe when you have a law like this, you know, I told you I detest Sarkozy. I consider him racist, but I will not sacrifice Muslim women’s rights in order to uphold the Muslim right wing which I believe is misogynist. With a law like that, a woman can tell her husband or any male relative who is forcing her to dress like this, the law says I don’t have to dress like this.

SPITZER: Mona — Mona, let’s not deal with Saudi Arabia, different customs, different laws. We have the First Amendment.

AHMED: Thank you.

SPITZER: I was talking about France. I was talking about France.

SPITZER: Mona, wait, hold on one second. In the United States, we have the First Amendment that gives people the right to practice religion as they wish. Do you not think that a law in the United States that would ban this form of dress would violate the First Amendment, permission to practice religion as each individual sees fit?

ELTAHAWY: Well, this comes back to religion again. Everything is allowed, just because someone says it’s their religious belief. You know, what I think –

SPITZER: No, no, no, Mona — I’m going to jump in. Hold on one second. It’s banned or permitted until there is some compelling state interest on the other side, but it’s got to be an overwhelming interest. What is the overwhelming interest that would justify us in banning a type of dress that people choose as a result of their religion?

ELTAHAWY: Well, all the reasons I just gave you but I will repeat. I believe that this is genuinely harmful to Muslim women because it creates this pinnacle of piety in which a Muslim woman is told, this is the closest that you can get to God and she’s disappeared. I’m no longer here. You don’t even know who I am. The face is central to communication.

SPITZER: Right.

ELTAHAWY: And not just that, it objectifies women.

SPITZER: Mona, Mona.

ELTAHAWY: The pinnacle of objectification.

SPITZER: Look, I agree with much of what you’re saying but not as the matter of law. You know, you get the last word. You haven’t gotten a fair time in this one. Give it the best 15 seconds you’ve got.

AHMED: Thank you. Basically, I want people to know that when I choose to cover this way it’s because I am fighting against a systematic oppression against women in which women’s bodies are being sexualized and objectified. This is a different perspective and a different form of empowerment in which I think when I’m in public, my sexuality is in my control and people have to deal with my brain and who I really am and not judge me by my body. And if we want to really talk about the oppressive situation of women, let’s talk about all the eating disorders, all of the plastic surgery, all of the unhealthy diets that are being done, all in the name of having the perfect body. To me, this is liberating and this is empowering. Mona keeps saying I believe, I believe, I believe, well, we don’t make laws based on what Mona believes or what anybody believes.

SPITZER: All right. Guys, well –

AHMED: It’s based on whether or not –

SPITZER: This is clearly not an issue we’re going to resolve in the will resolve in the next 10 seconds. I want to thank you both. Hebah Ahmed and Mona Eltahawy, clearly a passionate and important debate.

Last minute punya orang =Aku.

Tak tahulah kenapa, tapi mungkin sebab aku rasa adrenalin mengalir laju macam air terjun bila ada tekanan, hidup dalam kesusahan, me

larat (susah le sangat...haktuih!). Terus terang aku bukan perancang yang berjaya. Boleh dikatakan bila aku siap buat rancangan hidup untuk hari esok contohnya, mulalah time tu jugak aku pi melenconglah, tambah agenda lah, kurang agendalah. Senang cerita, aku akan buat apa je yang hati aku nak masa tu, ke mana saja kaki aku nak melangkah masa tu.

Contoh semalam aku pergi 1st avenue penang. Tu memang dah ada dalam agenda. Tapi sebenarnya sebelum pergi aku siap berkira dalam hati nak pi ke tak? nak pi ke tak?Itu pun sebelum mandi siap sempat basuh baju sebaldi dan masa tu dah pukul 10.30. Last-last aku pergi juga...ambik kau keluar pukul 12 tgh hari, berpeluh tak ingat masa nak pergi perhentian bas.

Sampai KOMTAR lebih kurang pukul 1.15, terus pi fers evenu(saja nak merosak bahasa inggeris), aras bawah tanah jenuh jugak lah nak cari kedai lomokaki tu. Rupanya dekat daerah hujung-hujung memang susah orang nak perasan kedai tu. OK, ni lagi satu benda yang aku tak boleh tahan. Nafsu terhadap kamera dan yang seangkatan dengannya. Tapi nasib baik iman kuat aku just hantar filem untuk diproses. 2 filem hitam putih, 2 filem slide. Total RM64 T__T itupun lepas diskaun haihhh nasib baik baru dapat gaji. Lepas mata dah start nak melekat kat kamera lomo dalam kedai tu kaki pun mem'blah'kan badan aku dari situ. Oh terima kasih banyak kakiku. Selamat duit poket.

Lepas hantar filem, plan nak solat then pi tengok-tengok (sahaja) cuci mata dekat bazar chowrasta. Plan emmm kurang berjaya sebab kali ni aku dah explore lorong baru. Bila dah explore lorong baru, aku terjumpa lah pulak kedai buku terpakai. ADOIII ni masalah tak tahan nafsu paling BESAR dalam hidup. Plan lah siap-siap untuk tidak membeli buku macam mana pun, aku TETAP akan beli jugak akhirnya. Mula-mula masuk kedai tu macam tak ada buku best, tapi bila dah nak keluar dah lebih kurang selangkah je lagi dari pintu kedai, mata ni nampak buku Secret Seven. I say mannnn~ Enid Blyton versi kulit keras tu.... favorito! :p Harganya RM10 tapi aku ayat mamat tu dapat lah RM8 hehehe puas hati gue.

Lepas tu aku ingat nak pi balik dah kan, tapi kakiku tetap nak redah jalan/lorong yang asing itu. Panas tak usah ceritalah, tapi kali ni aku redah pakai payung haha ni kesan daripada ciuman hangat panas Langkawi. Pijor teman dibuatnya.Setelah kaki puas meredah, perut kata nak makan laksa pula. Carikan le dia laksa kat chowrasta tu mujur jumpa. RM2.50 semangkuk, not bad. Tadi dah lah berjalan sorang-sorang dalam panas, lepas tu makan laksa yang panas tu bawah panas juga =.='' Cuma makan kat situ terpaksalah membiasakan diri dengan budak peminta sedekah.

Lepas makan singgah Prangin beli aiskrim untuk kudapan semasa menunggu bas. Dan pengembaraan pun tamat. Aku sangat menyarankan korang pergi redah je tempat baru, makin kita rasa asing makin kita rasa seronok nak tahu lagi. Redah je!

Tinggal lagi 2 hari je untuk undi gambar terbaik yang sesuai dengan tema 'Hitam Putih Kehidupan'. Pertandingan ni dianjurkan oleh blog Gelanggang Foto. Sesiapa yang rasa dia ada bakat untuk jadi penilai seni bolehlah tengok-tengok link ni. Lepas tu undi melalui komen. Cuma perlu tulis "saya undi foto nombor....".

Kalau nak tahu blog Gelanggang Foto ni selalu ada contest photography setiap bulan. Tema bulan. Jadi lepas ni korang bolehlah masuk. Tak payah pakai DSLR. Pakai kamera kompak(compact) biasa tu pun boleh malah nak pakai telefon kamera pun boleh. Pemilik blog tu, Iskandar kata dia bukan nak tengok kamera apa bagus untuk tangkap gambar. Dia cuma nak tengok kreativiti dan seni mengambil gambar peserta.

Ha, lepeih ni kome pun jom le masuk pertandingan fotografi ni. Idak payah kome pakei kamera gedabak besor tu. Pakai compact pun boleh, nak lagi ganeih pakei kamera talipon pun boleh. Sumpah! teman tak tipu. Ini serius.

Hari ni dah ramai kawan2 yang muat naik gambar majlis makan malam BATI semalam. Aku tak rasa apa-apa. Tak rasa sedih, tak gembira gila-gila sangat, biasa-biasa je, seolah-olah tak ada apa akan berlaku. Seolah-olah bulan depan, lima bulan depan atau tahun depan aku akan jumpa lagi semua orang yang aku jumpa hari ni. Aku tak dapat nak bayangkan lagi saat untuk tinggalkan usm ni.

Filem apa yang sesuai?

Selama ni aku selalu pening kepala nak pilih beli filem apa. Kadang-kadang aku cuma beli berdasarkan harga je, kalau murah terus angkut 2-3 kotak. Setakat ni baru cuba filem Centuria 200, Lucky 100, Fomapan 100 dan Fujifilm 400. Malangnya tak boleh nak komen lebih-lebih sebab banyak filem yang belum develop lagi. Susah kot nak cari kedai yang boleh proses filem hitam putih dan proses silang.

Tapi tadi secara tak sengaja terjumpa artikel ni untk dijadikan panduan peminat kamera filem sedunia ;] Jangan pening lagi ok mari baca....

"Which film speed is best?" depends on what you want to shoot, and how you want to shoot it.

The short answer is not the best, but the short answer is:

100 speed for stuff outdoors in the sunshine.
400 speed for indoors, or outdoors on cloudy days and action subjects.
200 speed if you can't make up your mind between 100 and 400.

This is about the limit of what you can buy at the grocery store. But this is pretty limiting. Did you know you can get film as slow as 6 and as fast as 6400? Did you know that you can take pictures at night with slow film?...without a flash?

Now for the long answer. Read through the whole list, and let's see if we can't open up whole new worlds of possibilities in your pictures.

50 speed and lower is great for pictures you want to enlarge to sizes like 16x20. I think every photographer should have at least one picture they have shot blown up big. Its a life-changing, wonderful experience. You will either need to shoot outdoors in sunshine, or use a flash, but its pretty cool. At the same time its unnecessary if you don't want big enlargements.
64 to 100 speed generally speaking has richer, smoother color, more detail and, all things being equal, looks "better" than the same image shot on faster film. You can use this outside in sunshine without any extra effort. It works great indoors or for night time stuff, but you will need a flash, or a tripod.
200 speed is either useless or perfect, depending on the photographer. Some feel it is too slow to use indoors or for nighttime stuff and yet not as good as slower film in daylight. Others feel it is the perfect compromise. But are compromised pictures what you want?
400 speed can be used in daylight just fine in most cases, but some lower end cameras will overexpose daylight shots with these films. It works well in lower light stuff such as indoors, or cloudy days without needing a flash or tripod. But of course if the light gets too low, you still need flash or tripod. Ten years ago 400 speed film was only good for 4x6 prints. It used to be too grainy for anything larger, but these days film is much improved over what it used to be. Most people are very satisfied with 8x10's from 400 speed film.
800 speed is good for low light and indoors where you can't use a flash or tripod, like indoor sporting events such as basketball or events on a stage, but the color isn't great(more on this another column). Its too fast for some cameras to use in daylight, and it doesn't tend to blow up well.
1000 speed is like 800 speed only more so. Great for indoor sporting events and stage shows. Also for weddings where a flash is disruptive. Generally too slow for outdoor nightime stadium events like football games.
1600 speed is good for serious low light stuff like nightime football games. Makes some pretty horrible blow ups. Color can be awful.
3200 speed is as fast as you can get over the counter. Not a pretty picture in terms of grain and detail. Some people like it for the artistic effect of it's harsh grain. Try a roll and see what you think. Don't even think about using this in sunshine.
6400 speed is specially processed black and white 3200 film. Used when nothing else matters but getting the picture. Will work in situations where other films won't record anything. Frequently used in surveilance situations.
Variable speed films, like Kodak MAX films. The first issue of these films were horrible. Nobody liked it. But the MAX films have been revised and I personally haven't shot any of the second edition stuff, but it is supposed to be much better.

So what the heck, experiment a little. Buy a roll and see what you think.

Hello friends,

> We're all devastated by the tragedy that is unfolding in Japan now, and 5 days after the event, I've finally gotten sick and tired of just waiting for more information and worrying from afar. My friends and I have decided that we needed to get out of this depressing helplessness and start doing something pro-active. We have therefore decided to launch a fundraising campaign, and we're appealing to you all for help!

> I know it seems strange to be fundraising for a nation that is not only one of the richest and probably most prepared in the world, but when you come down to the individual victims, you have to just imagine having lost your entire house, family, village, future and hope under the literal cloud of radioactive shadow to understand how helpless, lost and without hope it is to be a victim of this disaster. We feel that by doing this fundraising, we can focus the energy currently being spent on just feeling sorry into providing some much needed financial help to individual victims in Japan.

Right now, we're planning for Japanese dances, Drum performances, Japanese Children's choir, kimono dressing, origami, caricature drawing etc..
Anything to add to this would be great! It doesn't have to be Japanese... even Jazz performances, guitar, violin, puppet shows - anything is ok, as long as it can be done on stage without much props.
We need personnel and resources to help with the Stage Management, Stage lighting, backdrop etc

Kejamnya kita bersuka ria tatkala saudara kita dalam bahaya. Rasanya tak perlu kot saya hebahkan lagi tentang kesan radiasi di Jepun yang kini sudah masuk tahap 5 bahayanya. Tahap 5 ! Tahap yang boleh membunuh walaupun masih belum teruk seperti yang berlaku di Chernobyl, Ukraine 25 tahun lepas.

Saudara seagama sendiri yang tiap hari bertaruh nyawa di Palestin pun ~~kita~~ saya buat tak tahu, kejam sungguh! Baru sekarang perasan, kalau misi bantuan kemanusiaan besar-besaran ke Palestin di boikot tentera Israel baru lah ~~kita~~ saya terhegeh-hegeh semangat cakap "Benci Zionis" "Laknat Israel" dan sebagainya. Lepas dua tiga minggu ~~kita~~ saya pun senyap, cool balik agaknya. Dah tak marah dah dekat Zionis, siap masuk McDonald beli burger Double Prosperity.

Eh, tapi rasanya tu semua tak kejam lagi kot. Paling kejam bila reaktor nuklear di Jepun di bocor sampai gas tu boleh tersebar satu dunia baru lah ~~kita~~ saya kata, "Oh God." Saya memang kejam kan.

Sebenarnya, ~~kita~~ saya ni pentingkan diri. Bila ada khabar angin kata benda buruk tu jadi atau akan kat kita baru lah keluar semua singa harimau dari dalam. Kalau tak menyorok belakang iPhone lah jawabnya.

Dear Dear,

We have such fine good old time together. I really hope you enjoy our recent outing in my hometown. It is the first time I brought you to such place huh? Or maybe you've already been to that kind of place with mud splashing shamelessly. Anyhow, I'm glad I brought you with me for company and you get to know my closest high school's friends. They are crazy aren't they? :)

Just so you know you look absolutely stunning last Saturday with that stylish kinda silver white and black suit. Everyone (almost) is looking at us the minute I hold your hand dragging you to meet my friends. I still cannot believe how time quickly deserted us behind those memory. How long has it been? 4 months? Still feels like the first time I greet you with a cheesy wide smile on my face.

Kata orang tua-tua, kalau kita secara tiba-tiba buat satu benda yang seumur hidup kita tak biasa buat, tu tandanya tak lama lagi lah tu. Hmmm mungkin betul, tapi Allah sendiri pun selalu bagi hint seseorang akan dipanggil pulang betul tak. Lain orang lain lah hint nya.

Kalau aku banyak buat benda 'buang tebiat', dan memang sah aku yang Allah panggil pulang, aku harap sesiapa yang kenal keluarga aku dapat begitahu diorang tentang blog ni.

Arwah Yasmin Ahmad juga pernah berkata ketika hidupnya, belajarlah untuk memerhati. Memerhati dan melihat bukan benda yang sama. Dengan memerhati sekeliling kita dari benda yang sekecil-kecil hingga sebesar-besarnya, kita dapat menginsafi diri. Kenapa? Sebab dari pemerhatian, kita sedar Allah cipta sesuatu dengan teliti sekali dan kita sedar, siapalah kita untuk sombong dan angkuh berjalan di atas bumi ini.

Belajarlah untuk memerhati, dan dari pemerhatian luahkanlah apa sebenarnya yang sebenarnya berlaku di sekeliling kita.

Aku dan Batu

Aku dah belajar bahasa Perancis asas dekat setahun. Tapi belajar melalui internet jelah, hasrat nak belajar secara formal tak kesampaian sebab cikgu tu tak bagi aku ambil sebagai audit. Kecewa sangat masa tu. Teringat dekat kawan-kawan maya yang sama-sama belajar dan ajar aku bahasa Perancis.

2 bulan lepas ada seorang ~~mamat~~ pakcik dari Perancis ni, namanya Pierre. Dia nak belajar bahasa Melayu, tapi aku tengok bahasa Indonesia dia boleh kira mantap la juga. Tapi dah orang minta tolong ajar bahasa kita sendiri mesti la kita terima kan. Bukan senang orang luar sudi belajar bahasa Melayu.

Jadi dia pun mula lah perkenalkan diri dalam bahasa Indonesia dia tu, aku pulak pi balas dalam bahasa Perancis aku yang tunggang langgang dengan tanda baca koma ( ' ^) yang hilang entah ke mana. Akhir sekali dia dah nak blah dah , dia cakap panggil dia Batu.

Aku tanya la purquoi? (kenapa) Dia kata Pierre tu kalau diterjemah kedalam bahasa Inggeris maksudnya Stone. Stone tu Batu lah kan. Aku pun dengan pelik dan senyum sengih tulis baiklah Encik Batu, saya sedia membantu anda.

Lagi satu kelakar bila dia nak tulis selamat tinggal@ bye. Orang Indonesia kan suka cakap "Da da~" sebagai ganti untuk bye bye. Encik Batu ni pula dia tulis kat aku,

"Dadah almutarjimah..."

Aku cuma mampu gelak sorang-sorang depan skrin.
